New Amateur Radio Public Service Announcements
Southgate Amateur Radio Club
The spot named “Amateur” talks about the meaning of the word amateur and how the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) helps during disasters.

Russ Roberts‘s insight:

If you’re the Public Information Officer (PIP) for your section, you may want to order these excellent public service announcements  from the ARRL.  Please ask your local radio station to air these announcements.  They’re free and won’t cost the station anything.  You could also offer to do a few public interviews over the air to promote Amateur Radio and Field Day.  When I was the news director for Pacific Radio Group (Hawaii Island), I ran ARRL psa material during the months of April, May, and June promoting Field Day.  I then would write a letter to the local amateur radio club, noting the times and frequencies of the announcements.  Media exposure could earn you 100 extra points for Field Day.  All you have to do is ask.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).
