ARRL Field Day contacts (28-29 June 2014) with the West Chester Amateur Radio Association will bring a sense of history to your log. The club also operates WC8VOA from the historic VOA Museum building.  Club vice-president John Graves says the purpose of Field Day "is to train operators and demonstrate the capability of local amateur radio operators to conduct emergency radio communications off the power grid for an extended period of time."  The WCARA will set up a portable station at the north end of the VOA Museum at 8070 Tylersville Road in West Chester.  Field Day activities are open to the public.  For details, visit http://www.wc8voa.org.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).
