FCC fines Intel for using unauthorised devices – Computer Business Review

Thanks to reporter David Hall for this story.  The FCC has stepped up its enforcement activities with a $144,000 fine against chip maker Intel "for using unauthorized devices without getting clearance from the agency."  The FCC said some of the devices which were tested in residential areas and shown at trade shows didn’t have proper labels or permission from the agency.  The FCC asked Intel to adopt a three-year compliance plan.  Intel says it will comply with the request and will pay the fine.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).
