Florida’s Bay News 9 reports on how an Eagle Scout project turned into an Everyday Hero nomination for a Pinellas County teenager.

According to the “Southgate Amateur Radio News”, the Eagle Scout project of Parker Mitchell has resulted in a new backup communications system for the Palm Harbor Fire Station 35. With $4,000 worth of contributions, Mitchell built the emergency station and found a volunteer to climb the fire station tower and install the antenna.  This project could help save lives during during a disaster or emergency.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).
