International: New Ham Radio Regulations in Place in Thailand, Germany Gets 4 Meters Briefly

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) is the national association for amateur radio, connecting hams around the U.S. with news, information and resources.

Here’s some updated amateur radio frequency data from the ARRL and the Southgate Amateur Radio Club.  In Thailand, 27,000 amateur radio operators will get access to the 6 meter band (50 MHz), expanded spectrum in the 2 meter band (144 MHz), the "activation" of the long dormant Advanced Class Amateur Radio License, which permits power output of 1 KW.  Meanwhile, in Germany, telecommunications authorities have approved the temporary use of 70.000 MHz to 70,030 MHz (4 meters) until 31 August 2014 for Class A amateur radio operators.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).
