Amateur Radio Superstation – K3LR

I recently had an opportunity to visit the station of Tim Duffy, K3LR of West Middlesex, PA. Tim has been a ham since 1972 and in 1987 he bought an 11 acre, 1860’s farm property and immediately started setting up his dream station.

Nice article from Fred Lloyd (AA7BQ) recounting his recent visit to the Amateur Radio "superstation" run by Tim Duffy (K3LR).  Tim’s multi/multi contest DX station always puts out a strong, clear signal.  As the attached photos show, Tim has assembled an impressive antenna farm.  Check out his 160-meter vertical–it puts many AM broadcast towers to shame.  Great tour of an impressive, well-run amateur radio station.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRMM).
