September DX Challenge.


DX and IOTA highlights from around the world.

September 2014 promises some interesting DX for those willing to be patient. Here are some of the best choices:

 

5V (Togo).  Czech DXpedition team members OK6DJJ, OK1FPS, and OK1FCJ will be on-air from Togo for about 12 days at the end of September using call signs 5V7DB, 5V7PS, and 5V7ST.  The team will be using Elecraft KX3 transceivers with two amplifiers.  The team will be using two Spider Beams that will include 12, 17, and 30 meters, and one vertical for 40 meters.

 

FK (New Caledonia).  Bob (KD1CT) and Cezar (VE3LYC) will be the IOTA (Islands On The Air) team operating from Matthew Island (OC-218) as TX4A for 4 days in the 01-09 September time frame.  For details, visit http://tx4a.yolasite.com.

 

P2 (Papua New Guinea).  Derek (G3KHZ) is planning a multi-island IOTA DXpedition through Papua New Guinea in September.  He will be joined by Hans (SM6CVX) and Eddy (K5WQG).  For details, visit http://p29ni.weebly.com.

 

VK9X (Christmas Island).  Rob (N7QT) will be going to Christmas Island where he will be on-air as VK9X/N7QT from 03-13 September 2014.  He will be using CW, SSB, and digital modes on 3.5 to 28 MHz.
