Effective Sunday, 21 September 2014, Dutch amateur radio operators within 35 km of Nijmege will be prohibited from using the 2.3 GHz band. That portion of the rf spectrum will be used for TV video/audio links.

European governments are beginning to remove amateur radio from these frequencies for a variety of reasons, including TV video/audio links, broadband internet services, and public service allocations.  Use it or lose it.

Until next time,

Aloha es 73 de Russ (KH6JRM).
