Propagation Report from

Hannes Coetzee, ZS6BZP

21 September, 2014

Hannes Coetzee, ZS6BZP, reports that the expected solar activity will be at moderate levels.

Sunspots AR2164, 2169 and 2170 have complex magnetic configurations and may produce

M-class solar flares.

If you want to do your own frequency predictions, the expected effective sunspot number for the week will be around 60.

The 20 to 10 m bands will provide lots of DX fun with some exciting 10 m openings possible.

Here’s the latest propagation update from Hannes Coetzee (AS6BZP).  Despite some Class M flares, propagation should be decent between 20 and 10 meters.  Most of the good stuff will be during the day. Try 40, 80, and 160 meters around sunset local time.  These bands always hold some surprises.
