Towards a new RAYNET

The RSGB website carries a statement regarding the structure of amateur radio emergency communications in the UK

The Board of the RSGB and the Committee of Management of RAEN have agreed to the formation of a Joint Working Group to facilitate a closer working relationship between the two organisations.

It will also explore ways in which RAYNET could become a single, unified body that would support and co-ordinate the work of all groups and members.

—————————————-

The Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) has agreed to work with the Committee of Management of RAEN in forming a committee to facilitate a closer working relationship between the two groups.  The object of the committee would be to form “a single, unified body that would support and co-ordinate the work of all groups and members.”  This reorganization would make RAYNET more efficient during emergencies.
